RESERVED SC
A lovely collection of eleven* antique French-painted carved wooden decoy birds made in the 1900s. The various stands were added more recently for decorative purposes, and most are mounted with iron rods and wood or cork bases. The birds with blue paint specifically come from The Camargue region, a marshland area of southern France. These charming birds would be unique additions for decorative display in a hunting cabin, study, or as playful additions to a children's bedroom.
Note the varying stands and differences in style and size and unique paint wear to each as seen in photos. Many species are represented including curlews.
*Note 14 photographed - 11 available - see second photograph, those with an X are not included.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
