This superb antique wicker bottle carrier dates from the early twentieth century. Patricia recalls finding it at a brocante in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue many many years ago, " its amazing, it's so heavy - nearly as though it was made for military use, it's serious heavy duty!" she laughs, adding "I think it's beautiful - it would make a great impression on a picnic as it is so unique and definitely not something that was mass produced!"

The weight is owed to the solid wood base which also acts as a counterweight to help to keep the basket upright.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
