A lovely antique white La Louvière cake stand made in Belgium stamped underneath with the maker's mark. Patricia found this cake stand along with several others from a shop in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue which sadly no longer exists. Looking for a simple French country recipe of Patricia's to star on this stand? Patricia recommends the "Apple Lady's Apple Cake" recipe from her cookbook, the Paris Cookbook.

Boch Frères La Louvière is a significant name in the history of ceramics, particularly in Belgium, where it was a pivotal player in the development of the ceramics industry. Founded in 1841 in La Louvière, a town in the Walloon region, the company became renowned for its production of high-quality porcelain and earthenware. The Boch family were prominent ceramicists in the region dating back to the eighteenth century.
