This antique Tian bowl has a lovely rustic-orange color patina to its exterior glazing contrasted by a more vibrant orange-glazed interior with areas where the glaze has worn off due to the passage of time.

Tian bowls served several purposes - from washing and preparing vegetables, to using as a basin for washing dishes and also for cooking. This classic piece of French pottery from the late nineteenth century would make a delightful addition to your kitchen as a large fruit bowl.
