A superb earthenware platter by Gien from the late nineteenth century - beautifully decorated with a rooster with impressive plumage, flowers and a bird in flight. It is octagonal with two rectangular handles. This flat platter was originally designed to be used as a dining table centerpiece. Branded underneath.
