Antique marble garden statue of sleeping cherub

Dating from the late nineteenth century, a sweet antique marble garden statue of sleeping cherub or perhaps young Bacchus. Likely Italian in origin, this piece comes from a private collection in the south of France. Note the cherub rests his head on a pillow with tassels and drapes one arm over a doll also carved in the marble stone. Note the weathered patina and graceful features of the stone statue. An enchanting piece to display in a garden, courtyard or indoors.  Some losses, (for example fingers) refer to detailed photos.
