Large antique French terracotta olive pot w/ cream & warm honey color glaze 18"

This antique French terracotta olive pot features two loop handles and a lovely cream and warm honey-color glazing. Note the detailed photos to observe there are slight drips to the glaze. Barely any chips to the glaze - in wonderful condition for its age. Curated from a private collection in the south of France, this could be a charming cachepot for a plant or serve as a decorative addition to a collection of French pottery. 

While there is not a drain hole in the bottom of the pot, there is a hole for a tap on the side from when it was used as an olive pot for olive oil. Note there is a period wire wrapped around the top part of the the pot, perhaps used at the time for carrying.
