Antique French silver triptyque folding shaving mirror - Brot 13" tall

Dating from the nineteenth century, a beautiful and weighty antique French silver folding triptyque dressing table or shaving mirror made by Brot (a sought-after brand renowned for quality mirrors). Its rectangular three mirrors fold into each other to make it easy for travel use including a chain handle.

It secures with a hinge and clasp bearing the French inscription "MIROIR BROT DEPOSE". A "miroir de dépose" loosely translates to "table mirror".  The back of the mirrors feature a leather-like powder blue fabric. In overall lovely condition.

Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
