Antique French majolica asparagus platter with pink border - Sarreguemines 2497 - 9" x15¾"

A beautiful Sarreguemines asparagus presentation platter from the early twentieth century. This barbotine platter is decorated with light green asparagus and a red /pink acanthus leaf border. It is numbered 2497 and the letter U is also stamped underneath. A lovely piece to add to a collection of antique Majolica. This was sourced from a private collection that was held for over fifty years.
