A beautiful ironstone bowl and jug in dating to the 1900's. Traditionally used for washing one's face. The pretty black detailing is evocative of toile fabric and the design is in the style of Louis XVI. The varnish has a pretty crackled finish. No chips or cracks.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
