Antique French engraved table grape glass 10¾"

This wonderful large stemmed glass was originally used for washing table grapes (while at the dining table), in French these types of glasses are referred to as "verre à raisin". Dating from the late nineteenth century, it is made from blown glass which can be identified by the minor irregularities and slice mark underneath. The engravings are of grapes and vine leaves.
