Antique French congratulatory baby gift w/ oval curved glass frame, Napoleon III blue flower vases & child on swing

Dating from the Napoleon III / Second Empire-era during the nineteenth century of France, a lovely oval framed baby gift shadow box. Framed behind convex glass, this unique piece features a little girl on a swing surrounded by pretty white and yellow paper flowers springing forth from classic Napoleon III glazed blue vases that are typical of the period. Note the regal figure painted on the central vase. 

The frame is a lovely gilt wood oval frame with carved roses decorating the edges. A special congratulatory gift and piece that will easily add a touch of French charm and whimsy to a child's room decoration.
