Antique French confiturier w/ lecturn 32¾"

This adorable little piece of furniture is part confiturier / part writing table. The storage underneath would have been used for storing preserves such as jam, honey and pickles - the top perhaps was for noting recipes and listing the contents of the cupboard. Made from walnut, and from the late eighteenth century, Louis XIV period.
