Antique French confiture pot w/ sunny yellow glaze 4¾"

A charming sunny yellow glazed terracotta jam pot from the south of France. Dating from the end of the nineteenth century, the petit pot features an indention near the top of the which was intentionally placed to create a space to secure a cloth top with rope.

The interior is fully glazed in the same color as the exterior. A delightful French piece to add to a collection or use as a petit flower vase on a guest bedside table. If using as a vase for fresh flowers, please place a watertight container inside first as there may be some condensation.
