Antique ceramic bowl (vire-omelette) green glaze

This rustic ceramic bowl has a rich green glaze and dates to the 19^th century. It is from the village of Dieulefit which is renowned for its colourful pottery. The bowl was originally designed for serving omelettes, known as a vire-omlette. It would look lovely displaying fruit or eggs as it sits on a slightly elevated base. Condition consistent with age and use.
