A superb antique bi-fold screen from the late nineteenth century. It is beautifully painted using moody, dark tones of maroon and burgundy. Note the detail in the painting of the characters, they are giving a performance en plein air. The hinges operate smoothly. A lovely screen for a fireplace chimney when not in use.
