Antique baby food bowl with spoon - red 7½"

This ingenious children's food bowl dates from the 1920s. A little cork (with a gold bird) sits in a hole to close off the water reservoir underneath. Hot water was poured into the reservoir to keep the food warm when feeding a baby. It is decorated with a girl and a boy, the boy is hiding a bouquet of flowers behind his back. The border is red with gold leaf. Spoon included.
