A very tall rustic gilt wood altar church candlestick from the eighteenth-century. Some losses as seen in photos. It has had a hole made through the middle for threading an electrical cable if to be used as a floor lamp. French.
There are signs of woodworm that have been treated. Ongoing treatment may be required with an appropriate product.
Heavy wear and rustic condition consistent with age and use.
