Alpaca Spanish cygnet vase with openable wings

This unique vase is in the shape of a silver cygnet. The wings open up to reveal a small container that sits inside the bird. There are two little hoops to lift with and the container has a mesh cover. The eyes are most likely glass making them very lifelike.

There is a maker’s mark reading Alpaca under one foot. Dating to the 1960’s the condition is consistent with age and use.
