A pair of mid-20th-century Willy Guhl Marmite planters, designed in his iconic modernist style. These cauldron planters feature a rounded belly with a trio of sturdy feet for stability. The wide, open tops taper gently into the rounded bodies, giving the pieces a strong and sculptural form. Each planter is equipped with two angled handles, adding both functional and aesthetic value to the design. This iconic piece of industrial design from the 1960s was produced for Eternit in Switzerland and exemplifies Willy Guhl's innovative approach to materials and form.

The surfaces of the planters display a beautifully weathered patina, with remnants of orange paint that are beautifully timeworn. Moss growth on one of the planters further enhances their rustic and timeworn appeal, making them perfect for adding a touch of vintage charm to any garden or outdoor space. These vintage planters would make a striking addition to a modern or rustic garden, serving as both functional planting vessels and sculptural decorative pieces.

Note: May have been made with asbestos - therefore, we advise that they are displayed outside or in a well-ventilated room. The patina mustn't be modified.
