20th-century pair of French armchairs w/ removable cushions & cane backs

A fabulous pair of French armchairs dating from the twentieth century. Resting on elegant cabriole legs, these painted-wood armchairs feature comfortable upholstered seats, padded armrests, and detachable, tufted seat back cushions which easily lift to expose lovely cane material underneath. Their off-white solid suede fabric is newer than the armchairs. The back cushions tie to the rattan seat backs with fabric ties.

The underside of the chairs feature sturdy jute strapping. Of excellent craft and charm, these splendid armchairs will make a fantastic addition to any living space. Instantly creating a sense of symmetry and French elegance, they will situate nicely across from each other in a bedroom seating area or side-by-side opposite a sofa or on either side of a fireplace.
