19th Century tureen from Apt w/ yellow glaze & fig handle 12½"

This superb soupier dates from the late nineteenth century. It has gorgeous yellow ocher glaze, typical of pottery from Apt (the capital of the Luberon in Provence). Note the pretty fig handle on the lid and stylized leaf handles. It is in excellent condition and will add a touch of French country to any kitchen or tablescape.
