Dating from the nineteenth century, a round mahogany convex butler's mirror with Napoleon empire symbols such as the brass laurel wreath encircling the mirror and the six brass eagle motifs equally spaced symmetrically outlining the frame. The concept of a "butler's mirror" is to allow the butler to be omnipresent in observing a wide view through a convex mirror lens to know what is going on around the room at all times.
