19th-century portrait of Madame Louis Borne - oil on canvas 28" x 21¼"

This exquisite oil portrait dates from the nineteenth century. A lady sits, gazing to the side, wearing a white silk dress with ruffled golden bows on the shoulders, with a fur and green velvet shawl draped over the back of the chair. A bouquet of flowers rest on the marquetry side table in the background. Unsigned, artist inconnu, however the subject is recorded on the back as Madame Louis Borne.
