19th century oil canister from Nîmes

This charming agricultural oil canister is from Nîmes in the South of France. Dating to the 19^th century, this canister has a wonderfully rich patina and appears to be well water-tight. Retaining its original lid and branded with Nîmes on the side. This canister will complement both modern and traditional homes and gardens.
