This charming antique French entry hall coat rack dates from the end of the nineteenth century. It can be used to store hats, coats, walking sticks and umbrellas. It features an arched oak frame with oxidized brass hooks around the original mirror in the center. It is adorned with diamond-shape decorations. Note the pretty open fretwork design beneath the mirror just above the table top.
The lower section features a carved shelf top and a half-moon brass support and sunken zinc floor to rest umbrellas. The lower panels are is finely carved and decorated with acanthus leaf motifs and scrolls. A lovely piece for an entry hall to add a touch of French elegance to your home. 
Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
