19th-century large Spanish pot w/ artisan details 15"

A terrific Spanish artisan-made large pot dating from the nineteenth century. Made using sandstone or terra cotta and finished in a natural, unglazed patina. Note the coloring and pretty hand-finished, ribbed details around the pot. A lovely piece to decorate a corner of your home with antique, artisan charm or use as a cachepot. Note there is a drainage hole on the side near the bottom. Perhaps it was once used for olive oil and this hole served as a dispenser stopped by a cork or stopper that no longer exists.
