A superb Italian anchovy pot dating from the late nineteenth-century, made from terracotta with a creamy white gloss glaze. Note there is an internal crack at the bottom that does not go through to the bottom - it is in solid condition. If using as a vase it is recommended that a watertight liner be used.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
