19th century glass garden cloche – bell shaped

This glass melon cloche dates to the 19^th century. It is beautifully hand blown with visible bubbles and an aqua blue tinge to the glass. Garden cloches came in two shapes – a bell shape such as this, and a broader shape typically used for melons.
