This charming ceramic preserving pot with loop handles, timeworn yellow glaze, and a red-orange interior dates from the late nineteenth century in Savoy, France. The aged yellow exterior has crackles and pitting. The shape of the top indicates that it was once lidded. Today, this superb piece would make an excellent flower vase or utensil crock on the kitchen counter.
