Dating from the end of the nineteenth century, a fabulous antique French oil-on-canvas painting of a ship at sea ensconced in a thick beveled cherrywood frame. Note the French flag hoisted at the top of the ship's first mast.

The sizeable frame is an original, exotic wood frame. Note writing on the wood panel back featuring a piece of an antique confiture box panel. A fabulous piece to add charm and history to a maritime enthusiast's space. Rather timeworn - please observe detailed photos.
