A beautiful, decorative French églomisé glass barometer dating from the nineteenth century. It features a hexagonal-shaped base and highly decorated red, green, black, and gold edges and center. French words scroll around the center of the barometer which was used to help predict the weather by measuring atmospheric pressure. Note it is missing a needle on dial. For decorative purposes.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
