Dating from the nineteenth century, this exquisite, large French bookcase or vitrine is made in two parts (deux corps). The upper section includes two large glass doors (with keys that act as the pulls) with three adjustable shelves inside. The lower section includes two pullout shelves (note the twin brass knobs where they slide out), and underneath there are four wooden doors that house two shelves providing ample storage. Some of the glass is original, while some has been replaced. This is a timeless piece that will add a touch of French country to any interior. It has recently been repainted with an off-white, distressed finish and black baseboard.
