19th century English writing slope box 6"

An English writing slope box from the nineteenth-century. The timber is walnut bark decorated with mother of pearl the inside is lined with tufted blue silk. It hinges open to provide a sloping upholstered writing surface. A superb piece to use and display in a home office or study. No key.
