Dating from the start of the nineteenth century, an oak antique French commercial shoe polish / shiner stand. Seated, the client would place one shoe at a time on the branded red carpet. The business name, "Chaussures Diamond", translates to "diamond shoes".
The brand's name is repeated in large letters on the brass plate at the top. Note the pretty design on the turned wood legs and carved apron on the sides of the piece. A practical and nostalgic piece to decorate a man's dressing room closet with a touch of french history.
