This lovely brass cafetière or samovar dates from the late-nineteenth century. The stand served three functions - carrying by the overarching handle, a cradle that allowed the pot to be tilted for pouring, and heating with the perforated burner base.
It operates using an upside-down percolation method with a spirit burner at the base. The set includes the pot, burner, ornate stand, and a wooden handle that unscrews for adding coffee and water. The brass patina has been preserved as a tribute to its history. This coffee maker is ideal for decorative purposes or as a collectible for coffee enthusiasts.
Please note that it cannot be opened anymore.
