A superb, unique curved walnut armchair from the 1930s/40s, France. The use of walnut wood for the armchair frame is unique because typically, at the time, beechwood was more commonly used. The features of this splendid piece include a pronounced curved back and professionally redone upholstery with a lightly textured bouclé-style beige-white fabric.
The seat is sturdy with a bit of a bounce and maintains its architectural form when not in use. A terrific piece of Art Deco history providing both functional and visually alluring appeal to enliven any living space in both modern and classic interiors.
