A rustic pair of French square zinc wall lanterns from the 1920s. Originally for use with oil, these lanterns were later electrified. They feature decorative curved ventilation pieces wrapped around the top. They feature three glass panels, and the front panel opens like a door. Its exterior has a slightly oxidized patina and they sit on sweet little ball feet flanking the front corners.
Both with unique charm and individual characteristics earned through the passage of time, imagine what these lanterns have seen. A terrific pair that can be used as a decoration both indoors and outdoors. Consider trying a battery-powered candle or light bulb inside to illuminate and outdoor tablescape or decorate a porch entry. Note one has a door that doesn't close completely and the other has a dent on its lid.
Heavy wear and rustic condition consistent with age and use.
Must be rewired and installed in accordance with local electrical requirements.
