These striking water urns date from the 18th Century and were originally used for storing drinking water. A wooden lid was most likely used to seal them closed. They were handmade with the colombin clay technique. The blue patina has been applied in the last 10 years or so. These would look stunning displayed indoors or in the garden illuminated at night.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
