A superb oil-on-canvas portrait of a woman holding a single pink rose from the eighteenth century. The beautiful antique gilded Louis XVI style frame is more recent. The style of this painting is Louis XVI / Directoire. Note the fine technique demonstrated in the portrayal of the white silk bow ribbon and lace details of the young woman's dress.
