18th-century Italian mirror w/ gold & black décor 15¾" x 14¼"

This superb small-scale mirror dates from the eighteenth century and is likely from Venice. The painted and gilded black frame is decorated with drammatic swirling arabesque motifs, cherubs and masks. Mirrors in this style were very fashionable during the eighteenth century and this will complement both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
