18th century gilded parclose mirror w/ fruit 27½" x 19¼"

This exquisite 'parclose' mirror dates from the eighteenth-century. The frame is gilded and the crest is beautifully sculptural, decorated with fruit, nuts and foliage. The glass is beautifully aged. Note that the left pane in the frame is cracked.

Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
