This refined Italian mirror is a study in restraint and texture. The ebonized frame features an elegant guilloché pattern—finely incised linear grooves that lend rhythm and architectural clarity to its surface. The stepped profile draws the eye inward with a sense of depth and quiet drama, while the lustrous dark finish adds a note of understated sophistication. At the center, the original mercury glass softly blurs reflections with its distinctive foxing, evoking a sense of romantic nostalgia.

With its clean lines and moody palette, this mirror works beautifully in both traditional and modern interiors—whether anchoring an entryway, flanking a fireplace, or adding a thoughtful, sculptural accent to a gallery wall. A timeless and tactile piece that offers both decorative richness and quiet character.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
This mirror contains its original mercury glass which sparkles beautifully in the light. The technique of making mercury glass mirrors was retired in the early 1900s. The mercury is fixed behind the glass in a solidified, non harmful state.
