This stunning antique French walnut gateleg drop-leaf table dates from the start of the seventeenth century, Burgundy, France. A clever piece for small spaces, this elegant table serves both functional and esthetic purposes. Note photos to observe how the legs on either side can be pulled out to hold the half-moon-shaped table leaves and expand the table from a rectangle to a larger circle which can seat four to six people comfortably.
There is a handy drawer on one side of the piece with a solid metal drop pull handle. Note also the charming round turned-wood feet. The superb condition of this antique table speaks to the craft and quality of the makers during this time. This timeless piece was truly made to last the ages and aren't we glad for that! It would make an excellent addition to any living space or as a charming round-entry table in an entry foyer.
