Dating from the seventeenth century, a pair of delightful walnut and tapestry stools, resting on four turned shapely legs linked by an H-shaped brace. The tops are covered in small-point tapestry depicting beautiful green, blue, and white trees in bloom. (The tapestry fabric is Flemish in style).
Due to the fact they are over four hundred years old, the stools could benefit from additional stuffing. Perfectly practical and charming as a footstool or pull up seating by a fire in a pinch. Note minor scratches consistent with age and use to the wood and visible wear to tapestry and fringe as seen in photos.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
